Located in the Historic southern corridor of downtown Bemidji in the restored 1912 Great Northern Depot, this is one of the region’s most unique museums. Presenting the county’s 1870–1920-era history in agriculture and the railroad and lumbering industries, the museum itself is the last depot built by “empire builder,” James J. Hill.
