Wabasha

This river town was settled in the mid-1800s because of its rich soil and easy river access. Charming shops and restaurants dot the main street.  In winter, the Eagle Watch Deck — part of the National Eagle Center — is a great spot to observe the great concentration of bald eagles that winter here. Visitors can cross the Mississippi River to Nelson, Wisconsin from Wabasha.
